ABOUT the Ainsworth Child Development Center

The Ainsworth Child Development Center (ACDC) is a brand new childcare center based in Ainsworth, Nebraska. We opened to the public March 11, 2024. Our facility primarily serves children ages Birth-6 years old. Our full capacity goal at this time, is 46 children. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, contributions qualify for tax deductions and may be eligible for tax credits. We are still actively fundraising for our tuition assistance fund for families and looking for more members to join our team!

Our Approach

  • Child Centered

Families will have access to high quality, reliable, and affordable childcare for children ages six weeks through preschool. High quality care leads to improved academic success and decreases special education costs.

  • Family Focused

Many parents need to maintain employment, seek employment or continue their education to ensure consistent incomes. Families, including those who qualify for childcare subsidy or government assistance based on income, can be served.

  • Community Driven

An early childhood development and educational center is essential to recruiting the best and brightest talent to Brown County. Availability of high-quality childcare is vital for thriving and growing communities.

  • Business Partnership

With access to childcare, employers will have an increased stable labor supply as well as higher productivity, which translates into immediate savings and increased profits for businesses. This will help increase the value of the Community.

Our Why

Did you know?

01.

Quality early childhood education supports children.

More than 72% of children under age six live in homes where all adults work.

76% of mothers with infants and toddlers are working in the Nebraska labor force.

Nearly 90% of brain development takes place during a child’s first five years of life.

02.

Quality early childhood education supports Nebraska families.

Kids who receive quality childhood education are better prepared to learn and more likely to read by the 4th grade, graduate school, and go on to college.

However, 91% of counties in Nebraska with licensed child care facilities do not have enough available places to meet demand.
